A Strategic position
Being situated right in the middle of the industrial North of Italy, Piacenza is favoured by a strategic position and absolutely exceptional infrastructural facilities. The city is located at the intersection of two of the most important national motorways: the A-1 Milan-Rome and the A-21 Turin-Brescia motorways, with six tollgates distributed on its territory. Some of the main Italian airports, such as Malpensa, Linate, Orio al Serio and Bologna, are located within a few hundred kilometres from the city, as well as the most important ports of Genoa, La Spezia and Ravenna. Being at 60 km far from Milan, a frequent rail link on the Milan-Rome axis makes the heart of Italian economic life easily accessible.
