Piacenza hosts a number of important and renowned education and research centers: the Università CAttolica del Sacro Cuore, the Politecnico di Miano, the regional Technopole with the MUSP Laboratory (Machine Tools and Production Systems) and the LEAP Laboratory (Energy & Environment), the RSE Research Center by G.S.E . Spa (the national company in charge of the promotion and development of renewables in Italy).
